Selfish Favors

We all from time to time go to a higher power, our sister, our brother, our aunt, our uncle, father, mother, grandfather,

grandmother, our creator in the heavens, the ultimate, the highest power that any of us could possibly believe in within our hearts and our souls. We go to that power, Grandfather, God, Mohammed, Buddha whatever you wish to call your highest power which is basically the power within us, within our very Soul, our Spirit, from the depths of this Earthly Temple. We go to that power in prayer many times and we ask, we beg, we pray for something specific, for in a way, if you really think about it we don't know, none of us know what is best for us or best for someone else at the time or in the future. Maybe this highest power, Great Spirit, Grandfather needs this individual to cross over maybe he feels that he needs this Soul and this Spirit, this smile, this good nature of this very fine individual to do a task, after all we are only lent this human, this animal, this creature, this critter to fulfill a void in our life temporarily. We have only been lent, not given this something or someone to love so it is Grandfathers to take back when he needs it. He feels he needs it worse than what we do, it is his to take so who are we to go to Grandfather in prayer and say Grandfather we do not wish for this individual to cross over, we want this someone to stay with us, stay at our side, stay in the community, stay in our family. This is the selfishness, selfishness that we all possess, same as when we go to Grandfather, the Holy Men, the Medicine Men, the Great Warriors who have gone before us. We ask for a specific something. I heard one time from a very wise, wise older man, do not ever ask or pray for anything if you are not sure this is what you want because you might very possibly receive it. Do not ever go to Grandfather or your higher power, your highest power, your creator with vengeance for another soul, another human or animal or another creature or critter upon the face of this Earth. To truly feel with your heart and Soul, your Spirit that the attitude of this individual would be better changed.

That it would be for the best of the individual if this someone that stands at deaths door, should we not let Grandfather and the Council, the Holy Men, the Medicine Men, the Great Warriors that have gone before us, should we not, not only allow them because who are we to allow, we are not of that power of this Earth, of this Universe, the Heavens. We are only small, small weak individual creatures to make up the balance on Turtle Island, Mother Earth. Who are we to say or even suggest what the Council does, what their decision is. They are wise, they have been around for many, many moons. They have faced any and all situations from life to death from darkness to light to have and to have not. We go to the Council, Grandfather, we ask for them to take into consideration, under advisement possibly an attitude change for an individual, if the Council feels that this individual would be better, a better human, a better animal, if their attitude was changed. We do not go to Grandfather and the Council to save someone's life or take someone's life. We go to that Council because we feel or we have heard someone is terminal, how can we honestly and truly go and ask that, that individual be saved from crossing over. The only thing that we should do is leave it entirely up to Grandfather, the wise Holy Men, the Medicine Men, the Warriors who have gone before us and now sit in Heavenly Council because of their wiseness, their wisdom, the very fact that they are there gives them the right, the pleasure and the privilege to decide the fate of a creature, a critter or a human, fish, bird, one that walks on four or two legs, one that swims or flies. A plant, a rock, body of water, raindrops, snowflakes, it is theirs. They are creations of the Gods, of the Council, of the Heavens. Who are we to demand or even ask for a specific task. We should be happy we are allowed an audience for someone that we know who has either had a long illness or becomes ill suddenly. We go to that Council and ask the Council if they would make whatever decision they feel fit and best for that individual but we could request that decision be prompt and as swift as possible. Just remember the power of the thunder and the lightning, the winds, the waters, the skies and the heavens, the power of life, the power of death. Recall the number of times we have gone to Grandfather and the Council and asked for favors, selfish favors and then we get angry because these selfish favors are not granted, not granted because you do not need them to begin with. The only reason they are not granted is because they are selfish. If we go to Grandfather and the Council and request non selfish desires we would all be totally surprised at the outcome of the Council's decisions. If someone crosses over that is close to you, Grandfather and the Council decided that that individual be better off living in the Heavenly Village.

Let's recall the good times, let's recall the happiness, the laughter, the smile, let's recall and call back all those beautiful pictures we have of that pet, animal, creature, that human, that friend, that relative, that loved one. How many times did they make us smile, how many times did they bring a grin to our face, put a twist on our mouth, twinkle in our eyes. Grandfather gives us something to love, someone to love, be thankful for the time that you are allowed to spend with that individual. Do not attempt to deny Grandfather what is rightfully his, the Council, what is rightfully theirs. As the time with that individual was borrowed time, count the many blessings, bring back those pictures, bring back all those memories. You will see how you were blessed by Grandfather and the Council, you will say Thank You Grandfather, Thank You Holy Men, Wise Men, Medicine Men, Great Warriors for whatever decision you make. If you would like to make a request just request that whatever decision they make as to what is best for that individual be swift and that individual not be allowed to suffer, cross over peacefully. Count your blessings, count all of your blessings, you have not been denied anything, the only denial is in your mind. Check out your heart as well as your Soul, count the drops of red ink from your Spirit, count the drops of sweet and salt tears of the Soul.
