Grandfather’s Flute
~~~~~~~~~~~
Listen, do you hear the weeping, the crying, the sorrow of the flute or do you hear happiness,
contentment, laughter as the sound of the flute goes into the Heavens to be with the Spirit. Is it not like treaties, promises,
Tsi Lv Quo Di, the word Love in any language, it is not only how we receive the treaties, the promises, the word love but
it is how it is spoken. Are these things spoken as grains of sand on the desert so the four winds can scatter them in all
directions of the compass, are these words, treaties, promises spoken into the wind to blow them away. Are they spoken onto
fast moving waters, are all these words, love, promises, treaties are they written on the soul with ink from the heart, written
in blood, written in the red ink of our inward being. It is how we receive these things and how they are spoken. If the receiver,
his expectations and faith and trust of the mind, of the heart, of the soul and spirit, then these things touch deeply when
they are not fulfilled. This is how they should be received, with the knowledge, the knowledge not just expectations that
our trust will not be desecrated and torn to shreds. The giver of these words, these treaties, the word love should not say
these things, should not make these treaties, should not make these promises, should never speak of love only off the tip
of their tongue but from the depths of their soul and from the deepness of their Spirit. The flute can remind us of both sides,
of the giving and of the receiving. If the giver is not of good faith then the receiver will in time hear the weeping and
the crying and the sorrow of the flute. If given in the red ink of the heart from within the Spirit from the Heavens, given
from the depths of their soul, the faithfulness of the mind, then we will hear the joy, the laughter, the happiness, the contentment
of the flute.
We were taught to trust, we were taught to have faith, our mothers, our fathers, our grandmothers,
our grandfathers, all members of our peoples whether it be peoples of the Earth in human form or whether it be the creatures
that walk beside us, whether it be the creatures, the day creatures, the nocturnal creatures that trust what is said, they
trust all. Little children of the forest when the Great Spirit, Grandfather puts them upon the Earth they are so vulnerable
as we human beings in our younger years to deception. The distrust that we have with fellow man, fellow mankind is like the
animal creatures of the forest and mountains, of the skies, of the ground and yes even of the waters. No shadows upon the
waters means no invaders, no hard footsteps on the ground in the forest means they are not being violated as within our homes,
not the structures in which we live, not of our abodes in which we lay our head down to rest our minds, our soul and our spirit
but our homes within the very body that all of these things live. What happened to all the trust and faith of the children
creatures, the children. Humans I will tell you what has happened, these small children have knowledge, grow into knowledge
that some are not to be trusted with their words, with their treaties, with their promises, with the word love. Some are battered
emotionally, physically, mentally. When you grow up from the child that once heard the happy songs, the joy of the flute,
the contentment, they long for the old flute. They no longer hear the flute of their childhood, the creatures of the forest,
the ground ones, the humans of the Earth, they grow up, we grow up to hear two flutes and sometimes we know not which one
it is as the melodic movement of the flute is the same, it is only how we hear it. If we have always had words and treaties
and promises, love written in the sands and blown away or shifted into oblivion, that is all that we will hear, the wailing,
the weeping, the sorrow. How are we to know, how are we to know when we hear two sounds, two perceptions of the same music,
the same tone. We only have our trust and our faith in who has told us these words, who has made these treaties, who has made
these promises.
We have only our trust when man is in the forest with my people, the animal people. When
man comes into the forest we only have the trust that it is a good man and not one to take the children, not one to take their
pelts, not one to destroy their home. The same as with the humans, we hear both flutes, we are all confused at times. We are
so vulnerable because our minds, our hearts and our soul; is this of good faith, is this of good spirit and we trust and our
trust is trampled as grass on the prairie under the hooves of stampeding buffalo. Our faith is crushed like an egg of the
eagle which having been stolen from the nest and accidentally if not on purpose dropped. Where at one time within the egg
was an eagle child, a bird person, where at one time was grass on the prairie on which to feed, the same with the faith, there
was once faith on which to feed and have nourishment. Our mind, our hearts were yet unborn as the eagle within the egg. Do
not, do not cause the flute to cry, do not be the cause of the flute to have sorrow, do not make the flute weep. Be the player
of the flute to bring forth happiness and trust and faith. Play the flute, the flute of life as you would like to hear it
yourself. Play the flute of life, the sounds reaching the Heavenly Council, Grandfather, the Great Spirit, the Medicine Men,
the Holy Men, the Great Warriors who reside in the Heavenly Lodge and sit in Heavenly Council. If you give of the notes of
the flute as you wish to receive the sound of the flute then there will be no disappointments, there will be no sorrow, there
will be no broken treaties, there will be no broken promises. The word love will have a meaning. Listen, listen to the flute,
what do you hear, what do you hear not with your ears but with your heart, your mind, your soul, does not your Spirit hear
another Spirit speaking to you, singing to you. If you do not hear the joyous tones, the happiness, the joy and contentment
of the flute, change your ways, change the way you play the flute to others.
We are born with true Spirit, we are born with faith, we are born with trust. When we
cry as a baby in the beginning, we cry as we need something, we are hungry, we are thirsty, we are in need to be held in loving
arms. You wish this of Grandfather, then give, give as you so desire of Grandfather. Grandfather has given us his ability
with the flute.
He is the
"Master of the Flute"
be his student.
(EMeNv) Amen.
